Five British men arrested near RAF Fairford have been released on police bail as counter-terrorism officers continue investigating the incident.

The men, all from London and aged between 23 and 25, were arrested after three suspicious vehicles were reported near the RAF base in Gloucestershire.

Police said the men were arrested on suspicion of terrorism and explosives-related offences.

After extensive interviews, all five were released on bail and remain under investigation.

Counter Terrorism Policing said officers are continuing to examine multiple lines of enquiry, including the circumstances surrounding the vehicles and the possible motivation of those involved.

Police have also said they are considering whether the incident could involve individuals acting knowingly or unknowingly on behalf of a foreign state. No conclusion has been reached on that possibility.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the men have not been charged.

Nexora News will continue to follow the investigation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
