Thousands of homes and businesses in South London have been affected after a major Thames Water pipe burst.
The incident has affected around 6,000 properties across five London boroughs and two Surrey boroughs.
The burst main was reportedly releasing around 750 litres of water per second, causing significant disruption to local communities.
Several schools were forced to close as the water supply was disrupted, while some homes and businesses experienced no water or very low pressure.
Thames Water has been working to repair the damaged pipe and has started taking measures to restore supplies to affected areas.
The company has also said it will provide water to vulnerable customers and establish bottled-water stations where necessary.
Initial reports suggested the damage may have happened after a contractor's digger hit the water main.
Local representatives have called for a rapid response as residents and businesses continue to deal with the disruption.
Thames Water has apologised to customers affected by the incident and said it will continue providing updates as repair work progresses.
Nexora News will continue to follow developments and provide updates as more information becomes available.
